Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, attended a reception hosted by Asda in Parliament on Wednesday (18 October).
Mr Evennett met with representatives from across the business, including store managers and community champions, to hear about Asda’s role in the community and the work they are doing to reduce the amount of sugar, salt, and saturated fats in own label products.
Mr Evennett sampled some of Asda’s own label food before and after the reformulation, and then spoke with staff about Asda’s Schools Toolkit, which aims to pass on healthy eating advice to school children throughout the academic year.
