Rt Hon Sir David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford and Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party, was the guest speaker at a business breakfast this morning (20 September).
The event was hosted by Pete Marshall and Joy Zarine at The Kings Arms in Bexleyheath Broadway and attended by a wide range of local businesses. The event offers a chance for Bexley business owners to network and share best practice.
Sir David spoke about his new role as Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party and how he has been going round the country meeting with businesses to listen to their issues and concerns to raise with relevant Ministers. He also spoke about the importance of small and medium sized businesses to the economy of Bexley, as well as social mobility and ensuring everyone has the same opportunities to reach their full potential. He then took a number of questions from attendees on subjects ranging from Brexit to skills and training.
