Rt Hon Sir David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, paid a visit to Bursted Wood Primary School last Friday (15 June) to meet Headteacher, Mrs Dryland, and to tour the school.
Mrs Dryland updated Sir David on the school’s expansion, which is currently being built. As part of the project, the school has seen improvements to the school hall in order to accommodate extra children, and upgrades to the plumbing system. Sir David also learnt about the new equipment being installed in the school hall, courtesy of the PTA, before moving on to talk about intake for the next academic year and the school’s academic successes.
Following their meeting, Sir David was given a tour of the school, and visited some of the classrooms to speak to pupils about his role as a Member of Parliament and to answer some questions.
