Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, attended Southeastern's 'Meet the Manager' session yesterday afternoon (11 August) at Crayford Station.
Mr Evennett was joined by Crayford Ward Councillors, Cllr Geraldene Lucia-Hennis and Cllr Christine Bishop, as they pressed Crayford and Bexley Station Manager, Michael Gouldbourne, and Press Office and Public Affairs Executive, Benjamin Ward, on the service residents receive. Concerns raised included regular delays, lack of information, and rolling stock.
During the meeting, Mr Evennett commented: "I often receive complaints from concerned constituents about the train service locally, and I share their frustrations as a regular commuter myself. The lack of information from staff when delays occur is a big problem, and gives the impression that Southeastern do not care about their customers."
