Rt Hon Sir David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, was the guest speaker at a fundraising dinner held last night (2 July) by the Bexley Conservatives Dining Club.

The sell-out event was organised by Linda Evans and held in Toscana restaurant, Sidcup. Attendees enjoyed a two course meal followed by coffee and tea. The event concluded with a fundraising raffle.

Sir David spoke about the work he has been doing from the backbenches on social mobility and childhood obesity, including debates and Ministerial visits. He also discussed his political heroes and delivered some anecdotal stories about his time in politics. Sir David then spoke about the work the Government is doing to implement Brexit and obtain the best possible deal, but highlighted work in other areas, such as on education and public health.
