Rt Hon Sir David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, paid a visit to the Europa Gymnastics Centre in Crayford last Friday (22 June).

The state of the art centre is the only fully equipped Gymnastics Facility in the London Borough of Bexley that caters for children of all ages and abilities. It also offers many other sporting activities including, Boxing, Weight Lifting, Fitness Gym, Dance Classes, Martial Arts, Yoga, Physio and much more.

Sir David was greeted by Len and Yvonne Arnold and Chris and Emma Sheriff from the centre, before touring the facilities and speaking with service users. During the visit, Sir David was advised of the centre’s success, which has resulted in a significant waiting list for placements, in addition to a number of people competing professionally in a range of sports. They also discussed potential expansion plans for the future.

Following the visit, Sir David commented: “Len and Yvonne are an inspiration, and I’m delighted to visit the Europa Gymnastics Centre again to be updated on their many successes. The hard work and dedication of the staff is apparent, which is why the Centre has gone from strength to strength and I am sure will continue to thrive”.
