Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, welcomed students from Bexleyheath Academy to the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday 13 April.
Mr Evennett gave pupils a brief talk about Westminster Hall, before discussing his career outside of politics as a teacher and insurance broker. He then spoke about his inspiration to get involved in politics, and about his current Ministerial positions as Lord Commissioner of HM Treasury and the Minister for Sport, Tourism and Heritage.
Pupils then quizzed him on a range of topics, including the EU referendum, refugees, the electoral system, women in politics, and votes for 16 year olds.
