Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, paid a visit to local manufacturers CH Goddard & Co on Friday 7 October.
The family business based in Slade Green manufactures and supplies corrugated packaging products and associated materials. They won the ‘Made in Bexley’ award at the Bexley Business Excellence Awards in June for their unique aircraft refuse disposal box, used by British Airways.
Mr Evennett was greeted by Stuart Stringer, Sales Director, and David Stringer, Director, and they discussed the growth of the company, the problems they have experienced, and their award winning box. Mr Evennett was then given a tour of the factory to see how the products are made and to speak with employees.
Following the visit, Mr Evennett commented: “This is a successful family business employing people in the local area. They have been innovative in their sector in developing this award winning box, and it was great to see how the company operates”.
