Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, visited Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich this morning (7 April).
Mr Evennett met the Tim Higginson, Chief Executive of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, to discuss concerns raised by constituents about the hospital and their plans for improvement.
Mr Evennett commented: "I have raised concerns about Queen Elizabeth hospital on a number of occasions, including patient care, cancellation of appointments, and wait times. I have sought reassurances that these issues are being addressed and I look forward to receiving information on the latest CQC report in due course."
"I had a good meeting with Mr Higginson today in which we discussed some of the hospital's innovative plans going forward, such as upgrades to the infrastructure and a new Skills Academy. I will continue to hold the Trust to account and I look forward to seeing the improvements patients deserve."
