Foreign Secretary, Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, visited Bexleyheath on Thursday evening (12 October) at the invitation of Bexleyheath and Crayford MP, Rt Hon David Evennett, to be the guest speaker at a fundraising and social reception held at Stuzzichini in the Broadway. The evening was organised by Bexleyheath and Crayford Conservatives Deputy Chairman, Maureen King. Mr Evennett welcomed and introduced Boris.
Boris spoke at the sell-out event about the opportunities and potential for Global Britain post-Brexit. He condemned the Labour Party nationally and in London for being downbeat, socialist and looking to the past rather than promoting our great country. He was confident that Great Britain would thrive outside of the EU. After his speech, Boris met and chatted with members.
Among the guests at the reception were Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP, Cllr Gareth Bacon AM, and Bexley Council Leader, Cllr Teresa O’Neill OBE, who also gave the vote of thanks.
The evening concluded with a traditional Tory raffle.
