Bexleyheath and Crayford Conservative Association (BCCA) held their AGM on Friday evening (16 March) at the Bexleyheath Conservative Club, with Association President, Bernard Clewes MBE, in the Chair for the well attended meeting.
Chairman Mark Brooks reported on the General Election, political activities, and the social and fundraising events of the past year. He highlighted the visits of Government Ministers Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP, and Jackie Doyle-Price MP, to events and praised the Ladies Group for all their hard work.
Treasurer Marian Pollard presented the annual accounts and thanked everyone for their successful fundraising.
Rt Hon David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, then addressed the meeting and spoke about current political issues, including Brexit, Russia, defence, the NHS and education. Then he answered questions from members.
Council Leader Teresa O’Neill OBE updated members on the work of Bexley Council over the past year and the local election campaign.
