Melvin is self-employed within the Building Trade having moved to the Borough nearly 40 years ago. His wife was born in Crayford and works for the NHS. His children attended St. Paulinus Infants School. He now has Grandchildren who live locally and that is just one of the reasons why Bexley is so important to him. He wants to help shape a safe and secure environment for them and the community they live in.
He was first elected to represent Crayford in 2006 and he is pleased to see the investment that Crayford has seen which is defining its future.
Melvin has a strong work ethic and has always felt genuinely privileged to be in a position to work for people, listening to them and working to help solve their issues.
