Philip has lived in Bexley almost all of his life and his married and has 2 daughters both of whom attended local schools.

He has been a Member of Bexley Council for a total of 11 years and has served as Chairman of Bexley’s Finance & Corporate Services Scrutiny Committee and, for the last 4 years, as Cabinet Member for Children’s Services during which time we have seen significant improvements in the way we look after our most vulnerable and at risk children.

Philip's working life has been spent in the travel industry which provided him the opportunity to visit many countries worldwide giving him an understanding of, and appreciation for, different cultures.

Away from politics he served as a school Governor for 16 years and enjoy collecting books and, (sometimes less enjoyably!), supports both Charlton Athletic and Kent Cricket.
